Music Films

Until 31 January 2004
For the whole month of January, the refurbished cinema within the Melkweg complex is screenings music films: from Britpop to Britpunk, hiphop to reggaie, documentaries to tearjerkers...
Highlights include John Dower's 2003 British documentary Live Forever which looks at bands such as Oasis, Blur, Pulp and The Stone Roses; Stephen Frear's charming High Fidelity; Julien Temple's The Filth and the Fury which looks back at the colourful past of the Sex Pistols; controversial documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield's Biggie & Tupac; and the classic Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by Da Pennebaker. Note that on 20 January, Fenno Werkman is presenting music clips and film from his own collection (many not seen before in public). See Melkweg's website for full details of programme, plus times and prices.
