Man Ray & Lee Miller

Until 2 June 2004
Foam
Celebrating the meeting, 75 years ago in Paris, of two of modern art's veritable icons is this joint exhibition of surrealist photos by Man Ray (1890-1976) and Lee Miller (1907-1977). After meeting Man Ray, Miller became his student, favourite muse and lover... and went on to become one of the 20th century's greatest photographers. As well as taking portraits of Picasso, Collette and Jean Cocteau, and working as a fashion photographer for Vogue, Miller was probably the only combat woman photo-journalist to cover World War II (including D-Day, the liberation of Paris and the liberation of Buchenwald and Dachau concentration camps).
