Singing Outside the Box 2-14 August An intense workshop in New York City-style cabaret and performance art workshop (with a little bit of a dark side...) Want to do cabaret? Wonder what performance art is anyway? Are you a nice person longing to be a little naughty? A person of good character dreaming of singing songs about a person of bad character? Want to change the world with a song? Bring ideas, songs, experiences, props! Express yourself - tell us about your life. Ed Kortis brings 20 years of NYC-style cabaret to Amsterdam for an intense workshop - climaxing in a 2-night performance for friends and family. He'll teach basic and not-so-typical acting exercises, cabaret technique, stage direction, and performance-art writing. You may even dare to dip into the darker side of the cabaret experience! Note that the workshop takes place from Monday-Thursday and that participants will do a performance on 13 and 14 August for friends and family.
