Diane Kerry in Amsterdam

5 September 2004
Waalse Kerk

Democrats Abroad Netherlands is pleased to invite you to an evening with Diana Kerry, sister of presidential candidate John Kerry and chair of Americans Overseas for Kerry-Edwards (AOK). Diana Kerry will be joining as part of AOK's 100 Cities World Tour - a global effort to find Americans residing abroad and register them to vote. If you haven't requested your absentee ballot yet, you can do it here! The Waalse Kerk is located at Walenpleintje 159 on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal, near the Oude Hoogstraat in the center of Amsterdam.

Diana Kerry is John's younger sister, the third of four siblings in the Kerry family. Her father was a Foreign Service Officer and she has spent much of her life overseas. As a child she attended schools in Berlin and Oslo before going to boarding schools in Switzerland and the US. She has advanced degrees in education and theatre, the latter from King's College/RADA. A linguist and an internationalist, Diana served as a translator/interpreter at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, and subsequently embarked on a career as a teacher in international schools in many different parts of the world. She taught in Iran in the 1970s and then spent many years in Asia, teaching history and theater arts in Bangkok and Jakarta. She speaks German and French fluently.

The event is being organised by Democrats Abroad Netherlands, so please RSVP to them if you would like to attend: vote@democratsabroad.nl
